Patrick and Brian talk about my voice for a few minutes. I'm touched!
The Warriors
Patrick's prediction of a four-game sweep came true. Of course, that was off of a ridiculous comeback with an equally ridiculous finish.
The Warriors will be moving to San Francisco eventually. The good news, the stadium will be privately funded. It may cause a bit of a rift between Oakland and San Francisco residents.
I compare Steph Curry to Rickey Henderson a lot. Charlie Metro had a quote on that:
I did a lot of study and I found that it's impossible to throw Rickey Henderson out. I started using stopwatches and everything. I found it was impossible to throw some other guys out also. They can go from first to second in 2.9 seconds; and no pitcher catcher combination in baseball could throw from here to there to tag second in 2.9 seconds, it was always 3, 3.1, 3.2. So actually, the runner that can make the continuous, regular move like Rickey's can't be thrown out, and he's proven it.
Curry's three-point release is so fast that it stifles the ability of the opposing defense to do anything!
In terms of pronunciation, we're working on getting Steph Curry correctly. It could be worse. (h/t John Floyd!)
The Playoffs
Kevin Love's injury may have impacted the landscape of the Eastern Conference playoffs..
Hawks at 3/1, Bulls at 5/1 and Wiz at 15/1 to win East. Buy! Buy! Buy!

SBNation has a photo that's a little more on the nose in regards to Love's injury.
Patrick talks about the Raptors subpar defense in the playoffs.
Patrick discusses the ICE defense and how that isn't quite what the Raptors did.
The Wizards were using a "video game hack" to score at-will on the Raptors. Patrick earns bonus points for comparing it to, I think, NHL 2001's blue-line "bug."
Randy Wittman doesn't give off the vibe of an offensive genius coach. Not sure why....
I'm not saying Randy Wittman doesn't know what he's doing, but this doesn't do him any favors. https://t.co/4pFvFrWa06

Kelly Olynyk's play on Kevin Love was unacceptable. Patrick and Brian trade fantastic rants about the ramifications of this.
Any Judo fans know if Olynyk's move would be illegal in professional Judo competition?
Brian and Patrick have both dealt with rotator cuff injuries. It's not like the movies make it look. Fans do not have a real perception of recovery time.
Patrick compares Olynyk to Brian Cardinal. The results could be similar. Patrick notes that Cardinal's hip check to the legitimate Finals MVP probably cost the Heat the Finals.
The NFL's Charitable Move
Patrick discusses the NFL's decision to stop being a Non-Profit Organization. Bad news, it's not all that altruistic.
Fuck that Guy - Stephen A. Smith
Mad thanks, again, to Justin Halpern (@justin_halpern) for this segment, RIP Short Corner Podcast.
Stephen A. Smith's defense of Floyd Mayweather is, well, indefensible. Seriously, eff Stephen A. Smith!
Jonathan Weiler has a fabulous piece on this. Deadspin also has an excellent article. Simple fact-checking and even ESPN's take on Mayweather makes Smith so much in the wrong.
I wasn't on the show, but let me clarify my thoughts. Stephen A. Smith is a misogynist jerk that essentially advocates for domestic abuse.
Brian gives a little to the point that ESPN does like having loud-mouthed "Heels" to give "hot takes." Fine, but even then, Smith's takes are unacceptable. Brian agrees.
Also, Smith's take on Mayweather stealing the phone of an ex-girlfriend he abused was reprehensible.
Shout Outs
Brian shouts out Jonathan Weiler(@jonweiler) for his great posts about Stephen A. Smith.
Daniel Roberts (@ironmikegallego) has some great pieces on boxing at Deadspin. A well-deserved shout out.
