As I promised on Friday, here's a little recap of what happened over the weekend relevant to the portfolio:
Toronto clinched the Atlantic division. This bet paid 3.75:1, which means that this added another $475 to the portfolio payout.
The season is really winding down now; most teams have three or four games left. Since there are a few bets left undecided, there are a few key matchups every day (it's amazing how year-long bets always seem to come down to a few games at the end of the season), so I'll try to post about them in the coming week.
To recap, here are all the bets (except the rookie-of-the-year props):
As of just now, I've removed facebook as a login mechanism for joining or signing in to Boxscore Geeks. This isn't really a #DeleteFacebook moment. We still have a facebook page, and still integrate with facebook in a few ways. In the end, what it came down to is that Facebook was making it a pain in the ass for me to maintain this functionality with constant changes to their API, frequent deprecations that made me edit or upgrade code, and other ridiculousness, so I looked over at the twitter authentication that has functioned entirely unchanged for five years, and thought, "ok, screw this," and just removed this feature (which I now believe has been broken for a few weeks anyway).
If this affects you, I'm really sorry. If you've connected to twitter as well as facebook, you can still log in that way. Otherwise, you should be able to send yourself a password reset to be able to log in that way. If you encounter errors with each of these, feel free to use the contact form to let me know about it.
Here's a quick checkin on the portfolio, with just a couple of weeks left to play.
Some of you have noticed this, and yesterday, I finally figured out why!
