On April 10th, 2006 Dave Berri created the Wages of Wins Journal. He did this to promote his upcoming book: "The Wages of Wins", which revealed many surprising economic and statistical insights into sports. Today that blog turns ten years old! In ten years Dave Berri wrote over 1,500 blog posts about sports analysis while also releasing two books: "The Wages of Wins", and "Stumbling on Wins." Equally impressive (I might be biased in saying this) was that Dave collected a pool of talented writers who helped him write and research sports economics. The Boxscore Geeks owes its creation to the Wages of Wins Journal, and of course the support of Dave Berri.
The Wages of Wins Journal doesn't get updated much lately. Of course, that's because Dave Berri is busy writing for Vice Sports, or interviewing on Bloomberg Radio, or being a full-time tenured professor at Souther Utah University, and also being an excellent husband and father. And of course, many of the Wages of Wins writers have moved on to other careers and blogs (that have a better software stack than Wordpress, nothing personal Dave!) The Wages of Wins Journal has ten years of great stories and data analysis from a breadth of fantastic writers. Happy tenth Birthday Wages of Wins.

p.s. I find it appropriate that on the 10th Birthday of the Wages of Wins the Golden State Warriors matched the Bulls all-time single-season win record. Talk about a great birthday gift!
