We talk our annual Yeh Points Challenge," which you still have until February 12th to enter! Prove your skills at predicting, help a good cause!

We talk how amazing Magic Johnson was (post idea from Chris Yeh, eternal Laker fan!)

We get into some weird tangents including the 1980 USA hockey team that won gold at the Olympics. Of course, we talk it from the Soviet point of view, bringing up the great ESPN 30 for 30 "Of Miracles and Men." Our tie-in to basketball -- international players weren't always able to move to the NBA as easily.

We talk how, despite myths to the contrary, historical players were much worse at basketball. It's why I can say LeBron James is a better basketball player than Magic Johnson but there will probably not be a player as dominant as Magic was again.

We discuss the Boxscore Geeks Portfolio: Patrick's annual trek to Las Vegas where he puts his money where his mouth is. Sadly, Patrick's looking to just about break even, and even that's not guaranteed.

We discuss the drama with Charles Oakley and the Knicks. Our only note is it's odd to treat a former great so poorly, and how that's par for the course sadly.

Another odd tangent, we discuss the documentary "Life After Tomorrow," which talks about young actresses that played in the musical "Annie." After they get older, there is not a spot in the industry for a bunch of singing pre-teens. We compare this to former athletes, who find the industry doesn't have space for them after they stop balling.

While discussing former great Knicks, we bring up Anthony Mason, another great from Oakley's era.
