1. The top box score of the week owes a lot to its historical standing. I mean, it was a great game out of Steph Curry, but it wasn't even his best game this week, check out #2 on the list. However, Curry managed to both tie the NBA record for threes in a game (with 12, also his 16 attempts make it the most efficient such game) and also take the #1 spot for the single-season three-pointers. He managed to do this in under 1900 minutes! Let that sink in! He managed to crush a single-season record in, essentially, a lockout-shortened year's time!
2. Curry put up another ten three-pointer game. This week his total got up to three for the season! While scoring 51, Curry still managed to pass the ball eight times. Seriously, this is an absurd MVP season.
3. Thanks to Seamus Young (@ReallySeamus) for this one. Hayward had an absurdly efficient scoring game. He got a four to one points to shot game! I love True Shooting games > 100%.
4. Hey, this Whiteside character might be good at basketball. He put up a week high eight blocks and also get a double-double. Coach Spoelstra is keeping Whiteside on the bench. I guess when you've had LeBron on your team, the curve is high.
5. Curry is to MVP as KAT is to Rookie of the Year. Another week and another top game from him. He did this against Anthony Davis. So maybe he's taking the crown of up and coming franchise big.
6. Giannis makes the list with a solid triple-double. It was against the Lakers, so maybe some inflation? Regardless, Antetokounmpo is a bright spot on the Bucks. Now, can we get a point guard?
7. The Cavaliers are supposed to be the best the East has to offer. Toronto and Kyle Lowry have something to say about that! Lowry put up a great game as the Raptors took down the Cavs as Bron's Curry impression at the buzzer failed.
8. Pau Gasol puts up a triple-double and takes the place of a guard on the Bulls, which they need given their injuries. He needed this bounceback game after a week showing the night before. Sadly, it wasn't good enough to take down the Blazers.
9. Thanks to Tomi Mendel (@tomimendel) for this one. Roberson Puts up an almost blank box score. He did take two shots. Regardless, in a twenty minute outing, Roberson managed to avoid doing anything productive for his team. Clearly an impressive feat.
10. Wade gets the coveted tenth spot on the list with a truly horrendous game. More shots than points, five turnovers, and four fouls are all party fouls. Wade is past his prime and getting old. Clearly he needs some support, so the Heat have brought on ... Joe Johnson? Good luck with that!
That's our list! Did we miss someone? Are any players too high? Well don't worry, we'll be back next week with another one. If you see any box scores you think deserve consideration, leave them in the comments or tweet at myself (@nerdnumbers), Patrick (@nbageek), or Brian (@boxscorebrian) with hashtag #BSGTop10.
