Another week, another top ten box scores! We have some record-setting games, so MVP performances, and a few downright horrible games.
Tune in to hear Dre and Brian discuss Russell Westbrook's triple-doubles (again!?), Rudy Gobert and other snubbed MVPs, the playoff scene, and ESPN's win probability addition to the scoreboard.
Rudy Gobert is arguably the best player in the NBA right now. Of course, when the voters get together to decide who is "most valuable", I suspect Gobert will be off the list. In honor of him, we run down other greats that have played MVP level and were inexplicably missed by the voters.
Today's topic is triple-doubles. I break down five thoughts I have on the subject of triple-doubles. Unsurprisingly, Russell Westbrook will dominate much of the discussion!
I'll make a bet, by the end of the season we proably won't agree with who gets the Most Improved Player of the Year. The classic model is to examine players that improve their scoring totals (either via more shots or more minutes) We prefer to look for players that improve their performance. So "for fun" I decided to look over who we'd pick for Most Improved Player (or rather, who the numbers we like would pick).
